Peer tutoring works. Various studies—from governmental organizations to top universities—unanimously agree that peer tutoring has a significant positive effect on academic outcomes. It is highly beneficial because of the personalization and relatability that adult tutoring often lacks, making it far more engaging for students. This means peer tutoring can actually be more effective, at a much lower price, than expensive adult tutoring.
However, finding the right tutor locally can be challenging and expensive. That is why we started Northshore TeenTutors.

Northshore TeenTutors is a local tutoring business offering in-home and in-person tutoring services across the Northshore area, including, but not limited to, Highland Park, Deerfield, Glencoe, Highwood, and Winnetka. Founded by Josh Brown and Henry Gamson, current students at Highland Park High School, we believe that finding help to excel in your classes should not be hard, and you should always know your options.
